"I have owned a 1948 MGTC since 1985. 1990, after moving to Santa Rosa, had trouble finding help for my antique auto. Then I found Mike Kostakis. He's a knight in shinning armor! My husband is the same age as my car. Mike does not look at a woman and see $$$ Prices are fair. He can explain things carefully. My auto at 70 years old is becoming delicate & an needs the TLC that only Mike can offer. Mike specializes in imports, but occasionally I see American cars, too. Mike is The Best, great location with Parkside Cafe in the next block. Take your import or classic car to Mike's."

My British car mechanic retired and I was in need of a new one that could replace him. Luckily, I found Mike of Mike's Imports & Engines to fill that loss. I just picked up my car today, 73 Triumph TR 6, and the work he did is outstanding. His attention to detail and getting it right was evident in his work product. His knowledge of the car and his ability to trouble shoot my problems was impressive. He's "old school" which is perfect when working on a 1973 car. He truly knows the inside and outside of old British cars and he can be trusted to do the job right. The car was completed on time and when promised. I've ordered parts for our next project. I've gone through 3 mechanics, they are hard to find for my car. Mike is the best so far. Lastly, he ALWAYS answers his phone.

"I was 130 miles from home when my MGTC overheated and its radiator would not hold water. After contacting local MG drivers about a reputable and knowledgeable mechanic, there was no doubt but that I should have the car towed to Mike's Imports & Engines. Mike made time to look over my car and deal with the problem quickly so I could proceed home in my car and not have to make a return trip to pick it up some days later. He's knowledgeable, trustworthy, and his charge was very reasonable. I wish Mike's shop was closer to my home so I could use him for regular work."

Mike's is the finest mechanic anyone could ever meet. His attention to detail is outstanding and his knowledge of the automobile is unmatched, regardless of the manufacturer. For 20 plus years I've known Mike. During those years he's rebuilt or fixed and serviced the long list of makes and models I've brought him. The list reads as follows: Mazda, Honda, Saab, Jeep, Ford, BMW, & Mercedes Benz. Regardless of the make or model a person drives, Mike is the preferred choice.
A true Master Mechanic!

Had our car smogged here! Very knowledgeable as other places wouldn't smog our Prius even though the DMV says it's mandatory .Thanks Mark!

My 1996 Mercury started making a loud engine noise, so Mike opened it up and found low compression in one cylinder with no obvious breakage. After much discussion, we decided to swap out the engine. He and his team had to work real hard on this, because it is a transverse engine in a tight space. They did a great job. Now I'm cruisin' down the freeway with this engine purring quietly. His price was fair, and he even gave me a discount and guaranteed his work. It's great when you can trust a mechanic. I do.

Mike's is my go to place. Honest prices and work. I have a VW which means my engine light is ALWAYS on. I took it to Mikes for a second opinion after one mechanic told me I needed to replace multiple engine parts and didn't even spend much time looking at it before they stated so. Mike was extremely thorough, and made it a point to find the real issue before jumping to conclusion. Mike and his staff are the best. My car is running great again! I will definitely take it here next time I have an issue.

I'm grateful Mike was able to get me in on short notice for a repair that needed to be done right away. I work all week and Saturday is the only day I can go to a mechanic. His shop was very busy that day but he made time. He knew right away what was needed, and it works fine now.

HONEST MECHANIC!!
I almost got ripped off at Midas on College Ave. They wanted to charge me over $400 to replace my alternator. My friend recommended Mike's and called to see how much it should cost and Mike said about $225.
They took my car last minute, repaired it quickly and recharged my A/C all for under $250. And, on top of that they are all really nice and know what good customer service is.
Thanks Mike's imports for restoring my faith in humanity!

Recently moved to Santa Rosa and found Mike via YELP. He has worked on my 59 MGA and 51 MGTD and they are running better than ever! His knowledge is amazing and he has been able to fix all the issues that come with owning 60 year old cars. He is truly a FIND...

Mike is one of the last truly honest and good mechanics. He's helped me fix my truck and Tahoe several times. He always makes time and never BS's you like a lot of mechanics. He's one of the last good ones out there!!!

I was in a bind en route from wine country back to the Bay Area. It was a late sat evening and started to have car trouble, the closest auto repair to the freeway that was open was Mike's. Did I get lucky. Mike was super friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I had to leave my car overnight so he could fix it the next day and he definitely helped in accommodating my needs. He is fair, honest and an overall awesome mechanic. He'd my regular go to guy if I'm in the area.
